New Folkmanis Puppets Have Arrived!

Yes, it's true. At our Carbondale My Favorite Toys store and at our online store, www.MyFavToys.com, you can still kiss a frog and get a prince! Here's one of our 2009 puppets from those creative puppet designers at Folkmanis, the world's best puppet manufacturers. The puppet starts out as a frog, then after a smackaroo on the cheek, can be reversed into the charming (and very cute, don't you think) young prince.

Other new Folkmanis puppets for 2009 include the African grey parrot, elephant stage puppet, frog in spaceship, flower princess, floppy bunny rabbit, Australian shepherd, mini chick, mini weasel, and small renditions of the very popular peacock and galapagos tortoise puppets already in stock.

Folkmanis puppets are great for home-grown puppet shows, as well as school and church groups.

OK, We're Back!

Our colleagues advised us when we set up our blog last August, "Make sure you have time to post often enough to make your blog effective. A very large percentage of well-intentioned newbies fall off the face of blogsphere before they really get started."

Oops.

So here we are, committed to try again.

1. In the midst of "the worse economy since the Great Depression," as the CNN talking heads remind us 24/7, our biz is stable, actually a bit up for the fiscal year '08.
2. We have just returned from the American International Toys Fair in New York City, where we found some nifty new items we'll be highlighting during the days ahead.
3. While we are proud of our wide range of toys, games, and puppets, we've become particularly interested in Folkmanis and Melissa and Doug puppets, and the magnetic Benders and other offering from Hogwild Toys. We are also placing even greater emphasis on educational toys and games, especially for special needs kids.
